Case studies / Public scorecards / Zapier
This scorecard was produced independently as a methodology example, from the live zapier.com homepage. ClawniLab is not affiliated with Zapier and no customer relationship exists. Findings are illustrative of our 10-point clarity methodology and do not constitute professional advice for the reviewed party. Zapier is referenced across our sister publication Natharia's automation coverage (e.g. its Make vs. Zapier vs. n8n comparisons) — this scorecard is not tied to any product launch.
CSPublic scorecard
Zapier — landing page clarity scorecard.
Scored from the live zapier.com homepage on our public 10-point grid — same methodology as a paid audit, no contact with the company.
01Friction map
Three things to fix first
Ranked the same way every paid audit ranks issues — by what a stranger notices first.
Audience — 2/10
“Built for everyone, from the Fortune 500 to first-time founders” — no single persona is named anywhere on the page.
Fix: Pick one buyer (e.g. “ops teams drowning in manual handoffs”) and repeat it in the hero, the proof section and the CTA.
Promise — 3/10
“Build anywhere. Run on Zapier. Govern in one place.” — three features stacked as verbs, no single concrete outcome stated.
Fix: Lead with a quantified result, e.g. the “$150,000 a year, pretax” saving already quoted further down the page.
Next step — 3/10
“Start free with email” / “Start free with Google” — no expectation set near the CTA: no price, time estimate or card requirement.
Fix: Add one line under the button stating time-to-first-zap and that no card is required.

All 10 criteria
Every score ties to a quoted extract from the page fetched on 2026-10-19.
| # | Criterion | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hero clarity | 4/10 | “Welcome to automation in the agentic era” — no audience named, reads as a slogan. |
| 2 | Promise | 3/10 | “Build anywhere. Run on Zapier. Govern in one place.” — features, not an outcome. |
| 3 | CTA | 6/10 | “Start free with email” above the fold, single action, no expectation line. |
| 4 | Proof | 7/10 | “It’s $150,000 a year, pretax” — Stas Bilder, Solutions Architect, Palo Alto Networks, plus Nvidia/Meta/Shopify logos. |
| 5 | Audience | 2/10 | “Built for everyone, from the Fortune 500 to first-time founders.” |
| 6 | Objections | 3/10 | “We maintain SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, GDPR, and CCPA compliance” — only trust is handled; pricing lives off-page. |
| 7 | Readability | 3/10 | H2s include “The Fluid Determinism difference” — unexplained jargon in a heading. |
| 8 | Perceived speed | 10/10 | HTTP 200, 0.17s, 393KB, no interstitial. |
| 9 | Consistency | 6/10 | Enterprise logos + “Contact sales” alongside “built for everyone…first-time founders” — two registers, same voice. |
| 10 | Next step | 3/10 | “Start free with email” — no price, time or card requirement stated near the CTA. |
